Hi Bill.
Taquitos may be earth's most delicious food and luckily as the only omnivore in the current SIEF711 crew, I will give my taste buds and g.i. tract up to literature. While trying to decide what Taquito flavor to try, I fell victim to Monterey Jack Cheese with JalapeƱos.
The wrapper was more difficult to open than was expected and ultimately required employing my teeth to tear the plastic. Once open, the cheese was quite satisfying. Less creamy than a cheddar cheese, but on par with jack cheeses from more reputable suppliers.
After half ingesting half the cheese, my hazy mind was ready to select the evening's Taquitos. The flavors were 'Sante Fe Chicken' and 'Taco Meat and Cheese.' These rolled up tubes of saturated fat were tasty. The outsides were crisp, but potentially "on the roller" for an extended period and hardened accordingly.
Despite the Sante Fe moniker, the chicken wasn't especially spicy, but rather subdued by the generous amount of cheese. The taco meat Taquito had pleasant spice, but lacked the texture of the chicken chunks. The texture was not far off from meaty toothpaste - it was my favorite.
